The Matilda Clark Munson Room

This lovely, romantic room is often referred to by guests as the bridal suite because of the antique wedding dress and lacy bed coverings. It is a favorite with honeymoon and anniversary couples and couples seeking a romantic getaway. The king sleigh bed is heavy and massive in rich mahogany, softened by the matelassé coverlet and lace trimmed pillows in shades of creamy white. The wallpaper is a tiny delicate print, adding to the romantic aura of the room, and the original wide-plank floors, now painted a soft gold color, still show the marks from being planed by hand many years ago.
