Set back away from the house, the two secluded cottages, The Milkhouse and The Nest, are our most private accommodations and have become a favorite with honeymooners, so we affectionately refer to them as the "milk & honey" cottage and the "love nest." Either of them can be rented by the week as a housekeeping cottage or by the day as a B and B guest room including breakfast. Both cottages were originally post and beam outbuildings built or renovated in 1888 to match the great multi-unit barn which was enlarged that same year. The more recent renovation of these farm buildings into cozy cottages has preserved the slate roofs, hand hewn beams, original trim, and wide plank floors while adding amenities such as whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, kitchens, and king beds. Both are perfect for families as well as for romantic getaways.

The Milkhouse Cottage ($209-$259 B&B, $1000-$1200 weekly, see rate schedule) – Your own 700 square foot private retreat, including kitchen, dining area, living room with queen sleeper sofa, fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player, phone, private deck, large bath with whirlpool tub, and king bed in the loft bedroom.
